Joyce Faye Agee Rose, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cornerstone of her family, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., surrounded by the love of those she held dearest.

Born on August 2, 1943, Joyce spent her entire life in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where she built a warm, faith-filled home rooted in love, kindness, and community. In 1964, she married the love of her life, Ronald Ellis Rose, and together they shared 61 beautiful years of companionship and devotion, raising a family that reflected her gentle strength and unwavering care.

Joyce was cherished for her tender heart, her quiet wisdom, and the way she made everyone feel truly loved and valued. Her greatest joy came from her growing family—spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing stories and laughter, and wrapping them all in her boundless, unconditional love.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Ellis Rose; her devoted sons, Ronald Keith Rose (born April 8, 1967) and Kevin Allen Rose (born February 1, 1970); her adored grandchildren, Kaylee, Caden, Colton, Elise, and Casey; her precious great-grandchildren, Sage, Aspyn, Everett, Makston, and Madelyn; her dear brother, Ronnie Agee; and a wide circle of extended family members and lifelong friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lena Agee; her sisters, Shirley, Jewel, and Lois; and her brother, Bobby.

A graveside service honoring Joyce’s life, officiated by her brother-in-law Phillip Hines, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Colbert Memorial Gardens in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

The LORD is close to the broken heart and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

— Psalm 34:18
