Joyce Donnelle Brix Pittman was born September 14, 1927, to Donald and Charlotte (Ellison) Brix and passed from this life on November 9, 2023, at the age of 96.

Joyce was a proud 1945 graduate of Central High School in Tulsa Oklahoma, then she attended Oklahoma State University where she met Armon, her husband of 72 years. After raising four children, Joyce enjoyed working at Brix Inc., an established Tulsa printing and office supply firm that she and Armon purchased from her father in 1972. Joyce and her husband were long-time members of the Cosmopolitan Club and The Oaks Country Club. After retirement, they spent many summers in Lake City, Colorado, where they made new friends while enjoying jeeping and trout fishing adventures. She enjoyed traveling to Germany, England, Ireland, Monaco, Mexico, Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii. Her hobbies included watercolor painting and volunteering for Tulsa Advocates for the Rights of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (TARC). In 2014, Joyce and Armon moved to the Country Club at Woodland Hills in Tulsa, an independent senior community, where Joyce loved everyone she met, tended her flower garden, fed the birds and watched over the dog park. She moved to Thrive at Jones Farm in Huntsville Alabama in 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Armon Allen Pittman; their son, Marcus Allen Pittman; and daughter-in-law Susan Marie Pittman. She is survived by her children, Neil Pittman, Teresa (Bill) Danne and Roger Pittman; her siblings, Donald James (Royanna) Brix, and Joan Brix (Michael) Banks; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family suggests contributions be made in her memory to: Home of Hope, 960 W Hope Ave, Vinita, OK 74301
