Joyce Ann Harris Newcomb, 90, previously of Corinth, passed away in Lakeland, Tennessee on July 15, 2023. She was born on February 7, 1933, and was a homemaker and a member of Strickland Church of Christ. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Vester Newcomb; her parents, Marvin Austin and Ludie Mae Harville Harris; her brothers, J. E. Harris, Cecil Harris, and M. C. Harris; her sisters, Myra Ann Harris and Ella Mae Harris Newcomb; and one grandchild.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Marvin Newcomb (Joy) of Lakeland TN, Alfred Newcomb (Margaret) of Corinth, MS, and Johnny Newcomb (Barbara) of Saltillo, MS; her daughters, Doris Grubbs (Gary) of Burnsville and Denise James (Kenny) of Glen, MS; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren and a host of other family and loved ones.
Services will be at Magnolia Funeral Home -East on Thursday, July 20th, 2023 at 1 pm with visitation scheduled from 12 noon till service time. Bro. Truman Stockdale will officiate. Pallbearers include Jeffrey Worthey, Dalton Mears, and Kaden Lothorp. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
