Mrs. Joy Pendergrass, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Highlands Care Center in Scottsboro at the age of 88. She was a devoted church member of Faith Covenant Church of God and spent many years working in healthcare as an LPN.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Brett Hogland officiating. Burial will follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Faith Covenant Church of God.
Mrs. Pendergrass is survived by her children, Darin Pendergrass (Hettie), Kevin Pendergrass (Marty), and Kim Worthen (Joe); six grandchildren, Bridget Arnold, Amanda Chisenhall, David Little, Marisa Gast, Dakota Worthen, Lindsay Sisk; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Burdick; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Pendergrass; parents, Harry Robison and Velma Green; and granddaughter, Taylor McLain.
