Joy Narmore Brunton, “Ging,” 89, was born on February 7, 1928, in Decatur, Alabama, and passed away peacefully in death on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
Joy is survived by her son, Bruce Brunton (Cheryl), of Huntsville; two daughters, Cynette Horn and Katrina Williams, of Somerville; one brother, Don Narmore (LaVerne), of Melbourne, Florida; one granddaughter, Amanda Lackey (Andrew), of Huntsville; two great- grandchildren, Addison and Eli; and two nephews, Marty Engel (Dundee), of Moulton, and Scotty Engel (Sharon), of Somerville.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Grace Narmore; two sisters, Shirley Engel (Bob), of Somerville, and Barbara DeArmand, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; one brother, Horace Narmore and granddaughter, Julie Moore.
The family wishes to thank Country Cottage in Decatur for taking such good care of her over the last few years in addition to all of the assistance and love they provided during her last days.
In keeping with the request of Joy, there will be no funeral service at this time. A celebration of Joy’s life will be held by the family at a later date.
