Joy Jensen – Obituary

joyJoy Jensen of Huntsville died Sunday morning after a brief illness. Born in
Wetumpka Alabama, she was the only child of Bill and Eva Mullins. After graduating from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, she enjoyed a long career as a school teacher, and was active in Alpha Delta Kappa, an honorary sorority for women educators. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Warren Jensen. They enjoyed many things together, including travel, acting as docents at the Burritt Museum, and playing Tai Chi.
She is survived by two sons, Scott Jensen of Dallas, Texas, and Mike Jensen of Atlanta, Georgia, as well as many friends and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 on December 10th, at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Huntsville.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Morris Animal Foundation, and the American Cancer Society.
