Joshua Mark Cagle, 37, of Athens, died Sunday, April 21, 2019, at Madison Hospital.
Mr. Cagle was born July 30, 1981, in Jefferson County, Alabama. He grew up in Hayden, Alabama, and attended Friendship United Methodist Church. He was a former Athens police officer and was employed at Daikin Applied. He was founder and former owner of Xtreme Nutrition and Smoothie.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Friendship United Methodist Church, with Tony Johnson and Jimmy Hammock officiating. The body will lie in repose from noon to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Shelley Cagle of Athens; mother, Donna Weaver of Hayden; stepfather, Marty Weaver of Hayden; sisters, Amy Cagle of Hayden, Tiffani Latham of Hayden and Bella Rose Weaver of Hayden; brother, James Weaver of Hayden; uncle, David Culwell of Hayden; aunt, Shirley Gilreath of Pell City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Mark Cagle; and grandfather, the Rev. A. M. Cagle.
