Joshua Anthony Nolasco
Nolasco, Joshua Anthony, age 30, of Springfield, Tennessee, left us too soon on September 15th, 2025. Born in Bakersfield, California on June 30, 1995, he was a graduate of Cal State University of Los Angeles where he majored in Accounting. While at CSULA, Josh became a brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and was later elected as SAE Treasurer. Additionally, he received his Masters Degree from Mendoza College of Business from the University of Notre Dame in Accounting. Josh loved working as an Accountant for Brown & Brown CPA’s and was close to becoming a CPA himself. According to his family, “doing taxes” was Josh’s hobby.
Josh loved playing baseball, football, PlayStation, watching his favorite football teams (Notre Dame and the Indianapolis Colts), learning Jui-Jitsu, and of course, “Fantasy Football”. He started his own Fantasy Football league with Brown & Brown and forced the girls in the office to join the league. Just recently, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Springfield Rotary Club. Josh was a new member of Springfield Baptist Church where he was baptized on December 29th 2024. He never met a stranger, was always “chatty” when he saw you, and was a complete “jokester”.
He is survived by his loving mother, Maribel Hinojosa, Whittier, California; his father, Julio Nolasco, Springfield Tennessee; a brother, Noah James Vigil; maternal grandmother, Maria Hinojosa; paternal grandparents, Salvador and Leila Nolasco; and numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, September 21st, 2025 with visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the Springfield Baptist Church, 400 North Main Street, Springfield, Tennessee with Brother David Evans officiating. A funeral service will be held at his home church, The Ark Montebello, Montebello, California on Monday, September 29th, 2025. Josh’s final resting place will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery at Notre Dame.
Josh’s family wishes to give special thanks to Mr. Ervin Brown and all the co-workers and friends at Brown & Brown CPA’s for their love and friendship. Additionally, the family would love to thank Sean Patterson of Austin & Bell for her assistance throughout the process, who is now a Notre Dame fan. Donations may be made to Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Josh’s honor to help cover his funeral expenses.
