Joshua Aaron “Josh” Sampson, 29 of Arab, the Ruth Community died Monday, October 5, 2015 in Marshall Medical Center North, E. R.

Mr. Sampson was born March 28, 1986 in Arab, Alabama, the son of Lowell E. and Michelle Pesnell Sampson. He was a graduate of Arab High School, Class of 2004 and also a graduate of Wallace State Community College in Hanceville. He and the former Alicia Teets were married 5 years. He was a member of Bonds Chapel Holiness Church and a life time resident of Arab.

Josh was a heavy machinery operator with the Alabama Department of Transportation. He loved hunting, fishing, farming, and cattle rising and was an avid Alabama Football fan.

He is survived by his wife: Alicia Sampson; a son: Jacob Lowell Sampson; a daughter: Emily Faye Sampson; his mother: Michelle Sampson; mother-in-law: Patricia Vaughn; father-in-law: Alan Feets; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Amanda and Josh Chastain and Makenzie Sampson.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Verlon Wilmon and Brother Josh O’Brien, officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill F.C.M. Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nate Hopkins, Josh Maze, Chris McCallister, Curt McCallister, Gary Murphree and Tyler Steelman.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
