Josh Melvin Graham – Obituary

Josh Melvin Graham was born October 21, 1947, to the union of the late William Charles Graham, Sr. and Minnie Louella Dixon-Graham. He made his transition on Monday, June 20, 2017, at Parkway Health and Rehabilitation, Memphis, Tennessee.

Josh confessed Christ at an early age and joined St. John Baptist Church.

He was educated in the Hardin County School System and graduated from Central High School.

Hobbies for Josh were hunting, fishing, basketball, and let’s not forget cars!

Josh had many employment opportunities, Sears, TVA-Wilson Dam, and Yellow Creek.

Josh served in the Armed Forces of the United States for three years, two years were spent in Vietnam and the following medals were received: National Defense Service Medal, two Overseas Service Bars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars.

Josh was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, William Charles “Bo” Graham, Jr., Larry Graham, Danny Graham, and Elijah “Skipper” Graham.

He leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Pearl Thames (Gene) of Markham, Illinois; two brothers, Sam Graham of Savannah, Tennessee and Mitchell Graham (Edna) of Chicago, Illinois; two aunts, Jessie Harper of Los Angeles, California and Christine Dixon of Harvey, Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Mary Graham of Chicago, Illinois and Ruth Graham of Lynwood, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
