A Celebration of Life for Mr. Josh Ivy, age 46 of Lineville, will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at his home, 224 Mitchell Drive in Lineville with Bro. George Worthington officiating. A Gathering of Friends will take place from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 3:00 P.M. For those attending, the family requests everyone wear Josh’s favorite colors: Blue or Grey. A potluck meal will take place immediately following the service, so please bring a small finger food dish if you plan to stay.

Mr. Ivy passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born and raised in Clay County, was a graduate of Lineville High School, Class of 1996, and obtained his Associates degree from Southern Union State Community College. His work history includes the Piggly Wiggly, Coca-Cola, and K-Mart. He also worked with his Dads construction company, and lastly worked for Wellborn Cabinets as a Supervisor for nearly 15 years. Mr. Ivy enjoyed playing pool, cooking for his family, and making sure his yard and flowers staying immaculate. Josh was known for throwing countless parties for his family, many including bouncy houses. Josh was a goofball, often playing tricks on his family and friends. He cared for his wife and family immensely, took the time to help his coworkers with their problems if any arose, and was very giving to those in need. Mr. Ivy was a good hearted man, and will be sorely missed.

Mr. Ivy is survived by his wife, Rhonda Royal Ivy of Lineville; his children: Rayne Ivy of Ashland, Bradley Royal (Jessica) of Alexander City, and Leslie Brooks of Lineville; two grandsons: Brayden Royal and Kayden Andrews; his mother, Becky Teems of Heflin; two sisters: Frankie Foster of Heflin and Lisa Brockmeyer (Landon) of Gainesville, GA; Uncle, David Griffin (Vicki Johnson) and Aunt, Wanda Carnes (Ed), plus a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Elton Curtis and Maudine Lumpkin Griffin; and Fue and Margie Ivy; his father, Joseph Velton Ivy; step-father, Gary Teems; and his grandson, Kyren Grey Andrews.
