Joseph Wright May 23, 1942 – Oct. 28, 2022 Joseph Stephen Wright, Sr., age 80, of Decatur, AL, passed away at home Friday, October 28, 2022. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Robert B. and Mary Elizabeth Kennamer Wright and brothers, Paul, Olen, and Truman, all of Grant, AL. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosemary Slaughter Wright; sons, Stephen (Missy) of Hoover and Jason (Jo Terri) of Decatur; grandchildren, Tyler Wright, Kennamer Wright and Trace Wright; brother, Charles (Sandra) of Athens; sisters, Eunice (Bill) Thomas of Scottsboro, Christine Ferrell and Lois Brumlow, both of Huntsville. A memorial service will be November 13, 2022, at Beltline church of Christ. Visitation at 1 p.m. with the Memorial Service to follow at 2 p.m. The family requests any memorials or expressions of sympathy be made to Flint church of Christ for ‘Harry’s Kids.’
