Joseph William “J.W.” Bridges, 83, passed away at his home in Booneville. He was born March 26, 1942, to Frank and Burnice Bridges. He owned Bridges Construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking care of his lawn and garden and visiting the love of his life every night in the nursing home for the last seven years.
A Celebration Gathering will be from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Friday, March 13, 2026, at McMillan Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Clytee Bridges; one son, Joseph Bridges, Jr.; three daughters, Sherry Bridges Wood, Kathy (Alan) Tollison and Teresa Davis; one brother William Lee (Mert) Bridges one sisters, Joyce Ann Tranham; grandchildren, Chessie (Ray) Sabino, Braxton (Toni) Barnes, Lacey (Brandon) Smith, Boone Tollison and Anna Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Jane White; son-in-law, Tommy Davis; one grandson, Ryan Wood.
