Joseph Paul VanEst, age 76 of Pulaski, passed away Tuesday May 20, 2025 at the VA Hospital in Nashville.Joseph was born in Burlington, IA on August 30, 1948 to Albert and Francille Henry VanEst. He was a retired truck driver for B-4 Transportation who was an avid coin collector, fisherman, and diamond painter. Joseph showed his love for his family and his country by dutifully serving as a Marine. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Fannie; wife of 49 years Lorene VanEst; daughter Sheila VanEst; brothers David VanEst, James VanEst; granddaughter Cassandra VanEst; and two great granddaughters.

Joseph is survived by his sons David Paul VanEst (Thersea) of Lawrenceburg, Joe VanEst, Jr. (Patricia) of Florida; daughters LaShawn Smith (James) of Pulaski, Candace Simmons (Patrick) of Pulaski; sister Lori VanEst of California; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; fur babies Pepper and Dunn; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
