Joseph Nelson Hood , age 78, of Leoma, TN passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, TN. He was a native of Giles County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, 7 time National Senior Buck Dancing Champion, and a member of Primitive Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roland Denmon Hood and Drady Daily Scruggs, four sisters, Mable Nave, Elsie Glover, Laura Mae Nash, and Fannie Myers, and two brothers, Daniel Hood, and Thomas Levoy Hood.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 28, 2013, with Elder Sam Etheredge officiating. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery in, Giles County, TN.
