Joseph Morris Weldon age 83, passed away on August 27, 2024. Funeral services will include a graveside service at Lee Cemetery behind Dilworth Church of God on August 30,2024 at 11:00am. The service will be conducted by Bro. Ronnie Johnson
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; Alf and Dora Weldon and his brothers; Lonnie Weldon, Willie Weldon, Cleo Weldon, Billy Weldon, Horace Weldon, Marzell Weldon, and his sister; Jimmie Nell Weldon along with a host of family waiting.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years; Julie Elaine Myrick Weldon, his son; Craig and his wife Kimberly Bailey Weldon, his daughter; Linda Darlene Weldon Harrison and her husband Greg Harrison, his son; David Scott Weldon and his wife, Dannielle Capps Weldon. His grandchildren; Craig Weldon Jr., Jessica Gunnells, Kyle Weldon, Daniel Weldon, Jordan Harrison, Zachary Weldon, Dakota Weldon, Morgan Harrison and Zoe Weldon. Great grandchildren; Presley Simmons, Anniston Gunnells, Sadie Gunnells, Mateo Weldon, and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will include; Craig Weldon Jr., Kyle Weldon, Daniel Weldon, Zachary Weldon, Dakota Weldon, David Weldon, and Craig Weldon
Joe loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, all of his family, and church family. He was a member of the United Mine Workers for 54 years.
