Joseph Kindred “Ken” Yates passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was a Buckhorn High School graduate, where he played his beloved basketball. He later attended Motlow College. He was a devoted Crimson Tide fan, regardless of the sport.
He often helped those who were less fortunate than himself. He is much loved and will be missed very much by his family.
He is survived by his parents, William “Mack” Yates and Gina B. Yates; brother, Christopher Yates; son, Bryson Yates; aunt and uncle, Pete and Annie Brasseale; and many beloved cousins.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 15 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 16 at Maple Hill Cemetery with Father Joseph Lubrano officiating.
