Mr. Joseph "Joe" Dwight Cantrell Mr. Joseph “Joe” Dwight Cantrell of the Grassy Community in Arab, Alabama; passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday – March 16, 2021 at the age of 72 years.
Mr. Cantrell was born on the 3rd of November in 1948 to the late Norman Joseph Cantrell and Dorothy Elaine Jeffries Cantrell in Mississippi. In his earlier years, Joe worked as a director of operations in the plumbing industry. Mr. Cantrell was an animal farmer and enjoyed socializing with his friends, Christmas decorating, working in his church but above all, he cherished the precious time he spent with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Mr. Cantrell will be forever remembered by his beloved wife of 50 years; Rebecca Louise Vise Cantrell; son, Joseph Cantrell Jr. (Brittany); daughters, Kim Holmes (Brad) and Kelly McDaniel (Jim Brosnan); brother, Mickey Cantrell (Delores); sisters, Kay Gotts (David), Debbie Wallace (Jim), Tammy Gibson (Jackie) and Donna Cantrell; grandchildren, Jay Dooley, Tyler Dooley, Jaide Holmes, Payton McDaniel, Roman Cantrell and Nola Rose Cantrell; as well as 6 great grandchildren.
In addition to his beloved parents; Norman Joseph Cantrell and Dorothy Elaine Jeffries Cantrell; Mr. Cantrell is at last reunited with his brother; James Cantrell and grandson, Hunter Cantrell.
A visitation will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Friday – March 19, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Friday – March 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Tim Lynch, officiating.
Interment will follow service immediately at the Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers escorting Mr. Cantrell to his final resting place will include: Brian Cantrell, Mickey Cantrell, Jackie Gibson, Jim Brosnan, Daniel Click, and Chris Westbrook.
