Joseph Ernest Calahan, age 74, of Cornersville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center.
Ernest was born October 2, 1949, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late Joseph and Pauline Neathery Calahan. Prior to retirement, he was employed at Heil-Quaker and at the Marshall County Highway Department. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing sports.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin sister at birth, Joann Calahan.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Adair Calahan; two sons, Joe Calahan of Mooresville and William (Willie) Calahan of Lewisburg; one brother, James (Donna) Calahan of Lewisburg; five sisters, Pat Osborne of Lewisburg, Becky Calahan of Murfreesboro, Edna Cozart of Mt. Pleasant, Johnnie Ann West of Lewisburg, and Debbie Montgomery of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, MandiLynn Lewis, Blake Calahan, and Carter Calahan; four great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held at the Chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home, 310 North Main St., Cornersville, TN, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Graveside Service will be conducted on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 am at Beechwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
