Funeral for Joseph Edward Brown, 75, of Decatur will be Sunday, July 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home in Wetumpka. The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home in Decatur. Interment will be in Wetumpka City Cemetery.
Mr. Brown died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, in Decatur. He was born December 31, 1937, in Wetumpka to Zeb Brown and Viola Hellums Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Brown; and two sisters, Eunice Bigham and Agnes Mixon.
He is survived by his son, Joe Edward Brown (Tammy) of Decatur; three grandchildren, Stephanie Todd (David) of Priceville, Brittney Cardwell (Josh) and Caleb Brown, both of Decatur; two great-grandchildren, Emma Brown and Evie Todd; one brother, John Brown of Wetumpka; three sisters, Francis Berger of Lapine, Dorothy Milner of Lumberton, Texas, and Faye Makowsky of Pike Road.
