Joseph Christain Poague, age 51, of Florence, passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 20, from noon until 2 p.m., at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Kenneth Floyd officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Tyons, Greg Harrison, Cody Davis, Jackie Staggs, Mike Staggs, Jackie Lawrence, Aaron Crunk and Mac Seamons.
Preceded him in death was his parents, William and Elois Poague.
Survivors are his wife, Daphne Poague; children, Crystal Poague Covert and Austin Glover; step-son, Justin Bradley; siblings, Freida Benson, Wanda Richardson, Denise McDonald, David Poague and Troy Poague; grandchildren, James Covert, Brayden Covert, Anabella and Isabella Covert, Natalya and Nevaeh Glover; nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews are survived.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
