Joseph Alton Shelton, age 47, passed away suddenly December 1, 2021. He was born on March 21, 1974, in Loretto, Tennessee, the son of Terence and June Littrell Shelton. Joey was a fun loving, hard working man. He was blessed with highly skilled hands and a quick mind. He could fix anything. He worked in many various trades including being an auto body technician, construction foreman, and a handyman. He loved serving his church and was always willing to help where he was needed. He drove his truck in hay rides, worked in the kitchen, out front as a greeter, and helped senior citizens with yard work and built a ramp for one of them for wheelchair access with his son. Joey was a spiritual seeker who was always looking for a closer connection to God. He loved the outdoors and dearly loved his family. He was married to Tina Chronister for over 20 years. Together they have 3 children Summer Joy Ellison (married to Matthew Ellison), Autumn Brooke Shelton, and Joseph William Benjamin Shelton. He has one grandson, Noah Ryan Ellison. His Memorial Service will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Sunday, December 5th at 2:00pm with Brother Gary Vance officiating. Visitation will be preceding the memorial service from 1:00 to 2:00pm.
