Joseph Albert “Jay” Hall, IV, 69, died Sunday, November 5, 2017, at The King’s Daughters’ School where he had made his home for over sixty years.

A memorial service will be conducted Monday, November 13, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial was in Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born March 4, 1948, in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the son of Menda Coxwell Hall and the late Joseph Albert Hall, III. Jay loved and was loved by his friends who lived with him at Battles Place at The King’s Daughters’ School. Jay loved nature, especially horses, birds, and fish, maintaining a fish pond at his residence, as well as a bird feeder. His greatest loves were Braves baseball and teaching children. He worked for many years at The King’s Daughters’ School Early Learning Preschool, where he “adopted” numerous children, and kept up with them long after they graduated the preschool program. Jay enjoyed country music and the Grand Ole Opry; and he loved to dance.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Robert M. Hall, John C. Hall, and Jack R. Hall.
