Jordon Stanley Cassady passed away on June 21, 2016, at the age of 29 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Jordon is survived by his wife, Kari-Kay Harp Cassady; son, Andrew Thomas Cassady; father, David Cyrus Cassady III (Nanette); mother, Cynthia Ann Robbins; brothers, John David Cassady (Shannon) and Gabe Cassady; sister, Julia Coldiron; grandparents, John and Ruby Robbins and Noll Cassady; brothers-in-law, Chris Harp (Lindsey) and Regan Harp; sister-in-law, Lisa Harp Mellon (Steve); nieces and nephew, Isabella and Rivers Cassady, Alys, Amelia, and Ann Eastman Harp and Mackenzie and Olivia Mellon; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jordon was preceded in death by his grandparents, David Cyrus Cassady Jr. and Jean Barnard Cassady, and his great-grandparents, Edward Stanley Robbins and Elise Skinner Robbins and David Cyrus Cassady Sr.
Jordon loved being outside. His greatest times were spent fly-fishing in Cypress Creek, enjoying time on Shoals Creek, and swimming amongst the mangroves in Key Largo. Jordon will be remembered for his incredible work ethic, his devotion and love of his family, his fight against cancer and positive attitude throughout his battle, his newly-discovered relationship with Christ, and his great love for his son.
A memorial service celebrating Jordon’s life will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Cross Point Church of Christ (adult center, large classroom) at 10 a.m. The service will be conducted by Mr. J.R. Brothers and Mr. Frank Mills and a eulogy will be given by Judge Ben Graves. The family will receive visitors after the service.
At Jordon’s request, he was cremated. His ashes will be scattered by his family at various places that held a special place in his heart. The family is grateful for the condolences and prayers received during this time.
