Mrs. Jonibel Roscoe Smith, 87, died on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sidney Daly Smith, and her son, Andrew Roscoe Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Becky Smith Allen and her husband, Jack Witty Allen of Decatur, and her three grandchildren, Jack Allen and his wife, Allison Tanner Allen and two great-grandchildren, Margaret and Witt, granddaughter, Sarah Allen Wesson and her husband, Jeremiah Wesson and great- grandchild, Daniel Wesson, and grandson, Sam Allen.She is survived by her son, Collin Daly Smith and his wife, Neetu Smith, and two granddaughters, Maya and Sophie Smith of Lubbock, Texas.
Jonibel Roscoe Smith was born in Palestine, Texas, on Sept. 9, 1929. She was a beloved wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She was a member of Cherokee Bend Garden Club and Valley Christian Church in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Graveside services were held at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Gary Edge officiating.
