Joni Alajean Meadows Posey, age 47 of Fort Payne, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025 at her residence. She was born on February 6, 1978 in Fort Payne to Steve & Charlotte Lindsey Meadows. Joni was a very creative, decorative and talented person at many things. She was saved and baptized at Lookout Mountain Cowboy Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, October 20, 2025 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Walkers Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations towards the funeral expenses.
She is survived by her sons, Davey (Macy) Posey and Austin Posey; grandchildren, Serenity Posey, Luvayne Posey and Piper Michelle Posey; brothers, Joshua Meadows and Justin Meadows; sister, Janet Cothran; several nieces, nephews and cousins; significant other, Brandon “Bubba” Graham; and special uncle, James Lindsey.
She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Meadows.
