Jonathan Stines, age 43 of Lexie Crossroads, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020, as a result of an unexpected accident. A 1995 graduate of Franklin County High School, he was known by many through carpentry work, maintenance, farming, and tractor pulling. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Mary Stines, and Edward and Maudie Mae Taylor. Jonathan is survived by his loving wife of twenty-two years, Heatherly Stines; loving children, Logan Stines and Emily Stines; parents, Allen and Elizabeth Stines; siblings, Kim (Jay) Ballard, and Cindy (Blake) Stewart; mother and father-in-law, Bud and Pattie Hopkins; nieces and nephews, Alyssa “Sissy”, Alyson, Jaycob, Will, Caleb, Makayla, and Calvin “Kuvion.” Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Tim Patrick and Rev. David Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery with Daryl Doney, Oscar Elliott, Michael Stinnett, Clark Stinnett, George Dyer, Patrick Dye, Chris Mitchell, and Chris Stines serving as pallbearers.
