Jonathan Ray Welch, 26, was born on January 15, 1993 to Steve and Tressie Welch. He died on Friday, July 26, 2019.
Jonathan graduated from West Point High School and began working for West Point Intermediate School soon after. He owned a successful lawn care business, Welch’s Lawn Care Service and managed Haney equipment. He was a devoted part of the family at Jones Chapel First Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age. Jonathan was an unconditionally loving husband to his wife, Cassie Calvert Welch, married November 2, 2015. He wonderfully filled the position as a father to Lexi and Lane and soon Liam was added to the family on November 22, 2017. He was a devoted daddy and he adored his wife. He was an honest, hard worker, starting from a very young age. He accepted others as they were and would help even those he never knew. He was a servant, a true example of being the hands of Jesus. He always wore a smile, never a worry. He lived each day by faith. He was a patient soul, bursting with tender unconditional love for his family and friends. If you met him, you loved him. His happiness was contagious. He truly loved the life he was blessed with.
He is survived by his wife, Cassie Calvert Welch; parents, Steve & Ann Welch, Tressie Welch; siblings, Jennifer and Chris Cork, Stacie Welch, Misty and Zac Freeman; mother and father-in-law Timmy and Constance Calvert; three children, Lexi, Lane and Liam and a host of nieces and nephews
