Jonathan Louis Patterson, age 40, passed from this life on Dec. 28, 2016. Beloved by many, he leaves a legacy of kindness, a selfless giving spirit, and a love of his Savior. A celebration of his life will be held at Christ Chapel in Florence on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends after the service.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Snyder, Frances Patterson and Walter Patterson Sr.
He is survived by his son, Benjamin Patterson; parents, Walter and Norma Patterson; grandmother, Carolyn Snyder; sister, Kimberly Butler (Scott); niece, Emily Butler; nephew, Eli Butler; along with several loving aunts and cousins.
Jonathan was a 1994 graduate of Deshler High School and graduated from Mississippi State in 1999 with a degree in chemical engineering. He received an MBA from the University of North Alabama in 2003. He was a chemical engineer at Applied Chemical Technologies. He enjoyed swimming and golfing especially if Benjamin was with him. He loved his family and his church family at Christ Chapel.
