Mr. Jonathan Bivens, 62, passed away Saturday April 18, 2015 at the hospital in Sewanee, Tennessee. He was born in Gruetli-Laager, TN to Marshall and Doris Carrick Bivens who preceded him in death along with his daughters, Miranda Bivens and Pam Nolan. He attended Bivens Chapel Congregational Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dellene Kenner Bivens; son, Leo (April) Bivens; daughter, Betsy Carol Gann; brothers, Tommy and Doyle (Angela) Bivens; sisters, Denise Bivens, Gail Burnett and Lucy Parson; 4 grandchildren, Dylan, Christian, Cody and Becky; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Larry Campbell and Jeremy Robinson officiating with burial to follow in the Burketts Chapel Cemetery. Visitation: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennesee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
