Mr. Jon Walter Ransome, age 80, of the Pine Ridge Community, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Ransome was born on October 2, 1937 in Morgan County to Robert Dewey Ransome and Ruby Alice Wilson Ransome. Music was the love of his life, he was a former member of the Pine Ridge Boys Quartet, & former pianist and or organ player for the church. He worked and retired from NASA.
Mr. Ransome was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sisters, Janice Ransome Abercrombie & Jean Marie Ransom Parker; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Dewey Ransome and Ruby Alice Wilson Ransome; brother, Paul W. Ransome.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with Kenneth Smith, officiating. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisting family.
