Johnny Wayne Alley, 59, of Ripley passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 27 from 2 until 4 PM at Elon Baptist Church in Halls.
Mr. Alley was an industrial maintenance technician and a welder/fabricator. With hands that could fix anything and a mind that could solve any problem, he spent his life working in maintenance and welding — always building, repairing, and helping others. Whether it was a neighbor in need or a stranger down on their luck, he was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back without hesitation. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, passing down knowledge, telling stories, and making memories — whether in the garage, the woods, or out on the water. Hunting, fishing, and working on projects brought him joy, but it was the people around him who mattered most. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the things he built, and the love he gave so freely.
The husband of June Stacey Alley, he is survived by 3 daughters Ashton Hudson (Bryan) of Ocala, FL, Allison Smith of Atoka, and Anna Stephens (Ty) of Ripley; 2 sons Jonathan Alley of Cape Girardeau, MO and Jacob Alley (Tayler) of Halls; a sister Tammy Nunnery (Charles) of Lilbourn, MO; grandchildren Maylee Blackwood, Everlynn Hudson, Hunter Hudson, Talon Hudson, Joseph Alley (T.J.), Lukas Stephens, Beau Stephens, River Stephens, Maison Stephens, and Finn Alley; and parents Jerry and Gail Alley of Marston, MO. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson Jaxon Wyatt Alley.
