Johnny “Red” Thomas

Mr. Johnny “Red” Thomas, age 77 of Killen, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on April 9, 2024. Services will be held on Saturday, April 13 at the Elkins Chapel in Killen beginning at 1pm with Myra Whitfield officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service and will begin at 11am. Burial will immediately follow the services at Butler Cemetery in Killen.

Mr. Thomas was a very loving and caring man that cared about and cherished each member of his family greatly. Other than his family, he loved cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a member of the United States Army.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his children, Lisa Cuevas (Eddie), Greg Thomas (Danielle), and Joey Thomas (Michelle); grandchildren, Taryn Dean (Cory), Leah Newton (Mycal), Ryann Cuevas, Tristen Thomas, Tanner Thomas, Hunter Thomas (Allie), Hannah Thomas, Blake Hale, Garrett Hale, Zac Holt (Ann), and Shelby White (Michael); and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn Holden Thomas; father, J. D. Thomas; and mother, Lydia Mae Quinn Coker (Clarence Coker).

Pallbearers will be Greg Thomas, Joey Thomas, Eddie Cuevas, Hunter Thomas, Tanner Thomas, Steve Black, and James Earl Quinn.

The family would like to give special thanks to Myra Whitfield, Amedisys Hospice and Crossroads Family Clinic.
