Johnny Ray Allen, age 67, of Empire passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at his residence. A graveside service will be held at a later date at New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Empire. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Idell Allen; father, Floyd Allen; brother, Jimmy C. Allen; and ex-wife, Janet Roberts Allen.
He is survived by his son, Billy Ray Allen; daughter, Jessica Lynn Allen Franklin; granddaughter, Ainslie Allen; grandson, Colton Franklin; sisters, Judy Page and Brenda Veseleny (Keith); brothers, Jerry Wayne Allen (Martha), Billy Jack Allen and Gordon Allen (Carolyn); significant other, Kristina Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
