Johnny-Pearson-1413210378Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Pearson, age 68, are scheduled for 1 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Burroughs officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs. Mr. Pearson passed away on Sunday in Jackson from complications of Parkinson Disease after a courageous 28 year battle. He was born March 8, 1946 in Lexington to the late Harold S. “Bill” Pearson and Ruth Penix Pearson. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, a retired long distance truck driver, a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, an avid fisherman, and loved nascar and football. Mr. Pearson was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Marsha Cartwright Pearson and two brothers, Jim and Andy Pearson. Survivors include his two sons, Jamey (Debbie) Pearson of Bethel Springs and Jonathan Pearson of Lexington; his sister, Sherry Pearson of Memphis; two grandchildren, Madelyn and Trey Pearson; and two aunts, Ruth Pearson of Lexington and Lucile Penix of Memphis. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-9 PM and Wednesday, 8 AM until time of service.
