Johnny Michael Adkins, Sr., 72, of Belmont, MS, died Thursday, April 27, 2023, at his residence. Johnny retired from Hoover Stone where he worked as a welder. Following retirement, he enjoyed working on appliances. He is survived by his wife, Jane Wilson Adkins; one son, Johnny Michael Adkins, Jr. (Sarah); one daughter, Jeannie Horn; two brothers, Randall Adkins and Greg Adkins; six sisters, Lisa Adkins, Geraldine Adkins, Kay Adkins, Christine Adkins, Sylvie McKinney, and Phyllis Ervin; and two grandsons, Charles Joseph Adkins and Connor Isaiah Adkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Julie Mullins Adkins; and a sister, Fredia Adkins Hall. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Dean Warren. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tommy Brumley, Hathaway Bennett, Mike Brumley, Jeff Hopkins, Matthew Haney, and Kevin Sparks. Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
