Funeral services for Johnny Mack Alexander, age 72, of Lineville will be Monday, September 11, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Pastor Jessie Lindsey officiating. The family will receive friends before the service Monday from 5:00 until 7:00. In lieu of flowers donations can be made toward Johnny’s funeral expense to the funeral home.
“John Boy” was born in Clay County and graduated from Lineville High School. He was a pipe welder for over 30 years, worked at Wellborn Cabinets for 20 years and after he retired had been working at AGL Waste Management for several years. Mack loved being outside, hunting, fishing or just cutting grass. He loved his children and grandchildren and never missed a game or activity for them.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife of 13 years Tina Bean of Lineville; his daughters, Jamie(Brandon) Brown of Lineville and Misti Alexander of Oxford; grandchildren, Brett Shierling, Alexis Hoffman, Jaylen Alexander, and Jordyn Alexander; great- granddaughter, Violet Hoffman; sisters, Yvonne Young of Lineville and Jean Dot Alexander of Lineville; brothers, Phillip Alexander of Lineville and Kenny(Tina) Alexander of Hollins; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Bessie Alexander and a grandson, Chandler Shierling.
Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of arrangements.
