Johnny Lynn Hill of Memphis, TN was born December 10, 1951 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Humboldt and passed away on May 1, 2020 from complications of heart bypass surgery at Memphis University Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LeGrand (Hoss) Hill and Allene King Hill.
Mr. Hill is survived by a sister, Janice Strickland (Neal); two nieces, Angela Keller (Matthew) and Jessica Bryan (Chris); two great nephews and two great nieces.
Johnny graduated from Peabody High School in 1970 and Union University in 1974. He majored in Economics with a Business Minor.
While in High School, he was a member of the PHS Band of Gold. He was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.
At Union University, Johnny was a member of the Stage Band, Student Foundation, Lambda Chi Alpha and the Student Government Association.
Mr. Hill was Senior Warden with Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal in Memphis, TN.
He retired as office manager for Friends for Life.
Johnny was known for his infectious laugh, sense of humor and wit.
The family will hold a private burial for Mr. Hill and a public memorial service will be held at a later date in Memphis.
