Funeral for Johnny Joe Christian, 75, of Town Creek will be today, July 21, 2015, at 4 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with O.D. Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Fergason Cemetery. Visitation wll be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Christian, who died Sunday, July 19, 2015, at his residence, was born September 26, 1939, in Lawrence County to William Paul Christian and Kathleen White Christian. He retired as a paint mixer for Automotive Paints and Parts. Joe attended Hatton Church of Christ. He also served in the Alabama National Guard. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Jeffreys Christian; one son, Shon Christian of Town Creek; three daughters, JoAnn Christian of Decatur, Alison Nix of Jasper and Angela Parker (Aran) of Decatur; two brothers, Norman Christian of Oklahoma and Kelly Christian of Moulton; four sisters, Vaudrey Rucker of Hatton, Joyce Mullican of Double Springs, Doris Wallace of Moulton and Jean Masterson of Hatton; five grandchildren, Michael Christian of Florence, E.J. Nix of Hatton, Riley Parker of Decatur, Tyler Parker of Daviston, AL, and Victoria Nix of Hatton; and one great-grandson, Logan Christian.
