Johnny Harwood McManus, Sr., 59, of Sturgis, MS, passed away on September 29, 2023 to be with the Lord. He was born April 9, 1964 in Starkville, MS.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sybil McManus.
He is survived by his son, Johnny H. McManus, Jr. & his sister, Alisa Watson (Steve) plus nephews & nieces.
Johnny worked for U. S. Gypsum & F. L. Crane in Greenville, MS, then Triangle Drywall in Starkville, MS.
Johnny loved to fish & he was a huge MSU baseball fan.
He will be remembered by all who knew him as a wonderful, caring man who loved his family and friends deeply. He never failed to say “I love you” when saying “good-bye” to those family & friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Welch Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with graveside service following at Memorial Gardens.
