Funeral service for Johnny Gaylon Houston, Sr., age 69, of Decatur, will be Tuesday, November 3, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Houston and Rev. Clyde Ledlow officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 2, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Houston, who died Friday, October 30, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born April 5, 1946, in Franklin County, AL, to Clarence and Girtha Stanley Houston.
He is survived by three sons, Johnny Gaylon Houston, Jr. and Matthew Houston, both of Decatur, and Ronnie Jeremy Houston (Jennifer) of Belle Mina, AL; one brother, Donald Houston of Decatur; two sisters, Joy Brown (James) of Moulton, and Faith Houston of Decatur; and two grandchildren, Cassandra Diane Houston and Jackson Tyler Houston.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
