Johnny Dewayne Lauderdale Johnny Dewayne Lauderdale, affectionately known as Dawg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Collinsville Healthcare and Rehab.

Born to the late Truman and Maxine Boggs Lauderdale, in Alabama City (Gadsden), AL on December 2nd, 1960. He attended school in the Gadsden City school system. He worked as a handy man and electrician most of his life.

He is survived by his daughter Dawn (Jason) Tidwell of Collinsville, AL; his son Johnny Doss of Gladwin, MI; his grandsons Justin and Jaymison Tidwell of Collinsville, AL, and Brandon Badgett of Orlando, FL; his granddaughter Camilla Doss of Gladwin, MI. His brothers Palmer Lynn White of Vestavia Hills, AL, Terry Lauderdale of Albertville, AL, Arthur Fincher of Wellborn, AL, Oscar Fincher of Hokes Bluff, AL,; Sisters, Susan Spence of Crossville, AL and Victoria Fincher of Florence, AL; Four nieces, eight nephews and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Special cousins, whom he also considered best friends Donnie and Billy Harrison.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Truman and Maxine Lauderdale; Daughter, Tracy Glassco Badgett; Grandparents Oscar and Eunice Carr Boggs; Sister Kim Lauderdale; Brother Jeff Lauderdale; Nephews, Skylar Spence and Brandon Lauderdale and his niece, Kimberly Fincher

The family extends it’s gratitude to the nurses and staff at Collinsville Health and Rehab and at Shepard’s Cove Hospice in Albertville.

A memorial service will be held in the upstairs event room at the Collinsville Public Library in Collinsville, AL on June 21, 2025, at 2P.M.
