Funeral services for Mr. Johnny David Woods, Sr., age 73, are scheduled for 11 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2020 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery. Mr. Woods passed away on Wednesday at his home in Lexington. He was born July 17, 1946 in Madison County to the late John Riley and Sudie Hardin Woods. He retired as Service Manager for Suburban Propane after working for 51 years. He loved horses, coon hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Mrs. Rubye Via Woods; his two sons, Stacey Jones (Kim) and Johnny David Woods, Jr. (Daphne); his daughter, Paula Jones McKinney (Curt); two sisters-in-law, Joyce Via Lewis (the late Charles) and Sue Via McPeake (Glynn); nine grandchildren, Shaunda Jones, Micheal Jones, Katie Jones, Meghan McKinney Cooper, Brandon Woods, Mallory McKinney, Jessica Perry, Haley Perry, and William Riley Woods; and two great grandchildren, Nyah Buck and Abby Jones. Due to the continued risk of Covid 19, the family asks for everyone to please wear masks at the visitation and funeral service and respect social distancing.
