Mr. Johnny Carlos Tucker, 74, of Rogersville, Ala., died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at his residence. The visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at the funeral home, with burial in Civitan Cemetery. Jimmy Grisham will officiate.
He was born on Sep. 1, 1937, in Lauderdale County. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired Carpenter Local No. 366, a lifelong resident of Rogersville and a member of Rogersville Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Fay Tucker, Rogersville, Ala.; daughter, Teresa Burroughs and husband, Lester, Rogersville, Ala.; grandchildren, Brock Burroughs, Rogersville, Ala. and Courtney Burroughs, Athens, Ala.; sisters, Christine Ayers, Rogersville, Ala. and Magaline Williams, Rogersville, Ala.; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Roy Gilley, Charlie Williams, Stacey Holt, Chris Faires and Ricky Hendrix.
