Mrs. Johnnie Sue Bragg Stephens, 83, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 in New Market, Alabama. She was a native of New Market, Alabama, but moved to Rutherford County, Tennessee 40 years ago.
A church service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Smyrna Holiness Church at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Pat Coffey and Grandson, Collis Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Espy Cemetery, with grandsons and great grandsons serving as active pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by her daughter, Sharon Ann (Jimmy) Miller of LaVergne, TN; son, Richard Allen (Judith Rose) Stephens of Murfreesboro, TN; and daughter, Frances Renee Stephens of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Evelyn Bragg Jones of Harvey, IL and Celina Bragg of Hazel Green, AL; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and would soon to be a great great grandmother in October.
Sue and Earl “Jr” were married 57 years before he passed away in 2011. They had a wonderful life together and leave everyone with many memories to cherish.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Oliver and Flossie Giles Bragg; brothers, Paul, Leon, and Bobby Bragg; sisters, Dee Bragg Nash, Nancy Bragg Billingsley, Millie Bragg Neeley, and Pauline Bragg Campbell.
