Johnnie Richard Swack, age 84, beloved husband of Shirley Swack, and a resident of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at St. Thomas Midtown.
Born on November 14, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee, Johnnie was the son of the late James Swack and the late Josie Greenwood Swack. He was a proud graduate of West End High School in Nashville, Tennessee and was passionate about his motorcycle racing career.. Johnnie was married over fifty years to the love of his life, Shirley Swack. A great sense of humor, Johnnie loved people, and enjoyed racing his motorcycle. He especially loved being on the water, boating, and riding jet skis. For many years, he and his wife loved living in Florida and spending time on the beach. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Johnnie will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, J.R. Swack, daughters, Jodie Sharpton, Susan Swack, Karleen Crowe, brother, James Swack, sister, Joan Tipton, grandchildren, John William (Sonia) Lehner, Jake Sharpton, Jason Sharpton, Max Morrison, and great grandson, Ayden Lehner.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Lucas, Edna Davis, and Nancy Darlene Earp.
The family will celebrate his life with a service at a later date in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
