Johnnie Pauline Shareck peacefully passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born November 17, 1922 in Lawrence County to Marion Francis and Kate Slaton.
Mrs. Shareck married her husband, Michael W. Shareck Jr. on December 25, 1947. Her faith in God allowed her to always display great strength in times of adversity. She touched the lives of all that had the pleasure of being with her, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Immediate family, by whom she will be greatly missed include sons, Michael Shareck III (Kathy) of Charlottesville, Va., and Richard Shareck (Tay) of Harvest, and daughter, Michele Wells (Spencer)of Decatur; sister, Juanita Scheib (Jim) of Tucson, Ariz.; nine grandchildren Machael Shareck IV, Laura Shareck, Daniel Shareck, Shanen Cottingham, Scotty Shareck, Ashlea Chance, Levi Shareck, Spencer “Spike” Wells Jr. and Steven Wells; and 19 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
A special recognition and thanks go to the great staff of Madison Manor Nursing Home for being a second family to Mrs. Shareck for the two and a half years she was a resident. The love and care provided allowed Mrs. Shareck to live her life with great dignity and happiness.
Visitation will be Friday, March 1, 2013 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.
