Johnnie Faye Newton , age 81 of Lexington, AL passed away Monday May 15, 2023 at North Alabama Medical Center after a brief illness. She was a native of Alabama., Retired from Lauderdale County School System, She was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She was the hardest working person you’d ever meet and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved her family fiercely and we loved her just as much and will miss her always. and a member of Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Graveside Services will be held at Portertown Cemetery on Monday June 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Terry Herston will be officiating. Burial will follow in Portertown Cemetery.
