Johnnie Edith Adams, age 91, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Signature Healthcare in Columbia, Tennessee.

Funeral services for Mrs. Adams will be conducted on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee with Bro. Ezell Rose officiating. Burial will follow at the New Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015 also at the funeral home.

Born on February 8, 1924 in Hickman County, Tennessee, Johnnie was the daughter of John and Martha Barker Brake. She was a homemaker most of her life. Johnnie found love in being a kind and wonderful mother. She loved to crochet. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Adams; son, Johnny Adams; daughter, Lynn Ingram; and great-grandson, Josh Donovan; and his father. Joe Donovan.

Survivors include her children, Kay (Jim) Spears of Mt. Pleasant, Betty (Larry) Harlow of Florida, Wanda (Bobby) Clayton of Lawrenceburg, Mary (Bobby) Smith of Mt. Pleasant, Mike Adams of Mt. Pleasant, Joe (Brenda) Adams of Giles County, and Carolyn Hodge of Columbia; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Mrs. Adams is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

Joe Adams, Bobby Clayton, Jim Spears, Ronnie Spears, Charlie Boyd and Billy Hollis will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons of Mrs. Adams.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Vinson, Maury Regional Medical Center, Family Health Group and Signature Health Care.
