Funeral service for Johnie D. Long, 84, will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Long and Bro. Greg Standridge officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Long died on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born July 2, 1931, in Morgan County to James Edward Orme and Harriet Mae Muzzey Orme. Mrs. Long was formerly employed as a Medical Transcriptionist for Hartselle Medical Center. She and her husband, Hoyt, were married for over 66 years, they enjoyed traveling and camping together. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Jimmy Orme.
